Wonder

Hallo everybody,
 Here's another book review on the book Wonder. Even before I read the book, I knew it was a big thing. Everyone in my school and class had heard of it. This book was constantly recommended to me by others so I finally went and issued it from my school library. (someone had always borrowed it.)
I didn't know what to expect, but I still got it. Wonder is an amazing story which contains the message that one should not judge others by their face. Here's a summary:
Wonder is a heart-touching story about a boy named August Pullman, who has been born with facial differences and starts going to school for the first time. It's not easy at all, but with new friends, Auggie might just pull through.

This book is written in the disguise of different people in the story, each telling their own side. The different stories by each character really help you understand who did what and why they did it. R.J. Palacio is an amazing author who writes simple words but his stories contain important messages. I can totally see why so many people like this book and recommend it. I strongly recommend it too.

    What a wonderful summary of what sounds like a lovely book. Peanut ur review has inspired me to buy this book for my 10yr old son Aarav... And I hope one day he also writes reviews taking some Inspiration from your lovely write up... Well done..

Hip Hop Nature Boy and Other Poems

Hello everyone! This book has been sent to me by the publishers and I really liked it. Here's a review. This book is a collections of poems by Ruskin Bond. Though there are a few sad poems but there are more happy ones. Some of my favourites are Demon Driver, The Cat Has Something To Say and If Mice Could Roar . All these poems are the happiest and funniest in the book. (I even copied them and stuck them all over my notebooks. They are absolutely brilliant.) Though a few are a little far-fetched and there are some words I could not make sense of, this book is still a must-have for the kids who love poems or those who read them for good fun (like me). I did however wish the author to be a little less sentimental at times (that means sad). I don't think I know anyone who likes sad poems. 10 yr olds are more like the happy,bouncy type. Tiger Boy

Aloha! Peanut here (who else would it be?) with a review for the book Tiger Boy. This book was even used in my class as an anchor text for nature. The entire 6th grade had to read and annotate it to learn about summaries, transition words and also for the setting of the Sunderbans as it was related to our expedition-"Geography that shapes us." No this book is not that boring that old, cranky teachers like it so much (they can like GOOD books sometimes too.) It is genuinely written very well and the backstory and struggles can be related to other village people. Here's a summary: Neel is an extremely clever boy who loves his village. He has been offered a scholarship and his family wants him to go and earn money and be successful but, Neel hates the idea of leaving his beautiful Sunderbans.
